Monitoring
Electric fence monitoring
Fence voltage from the shed. Solar and battery powered, a reading every 30 minutes.
The sensor reads fence voltage and reports it every half hour, so a fence that has gone down becomes a notification rather than a discovery.
Voltage is the right thing to measure because it degrades before it fails. A fence drifting from 6 kV to 4 kV over a fortnight is telling you about vegetation growth or a cracked insulator, and that is a job you schedule rather than an emergency you attend.
Solar and battery powered, so it stays live in the paddock without attention.
